Light,
patience,
people.
Circlepics is the work of Raoul Baart, a photographer based in Papendrecht. Portraits, landscape, dogs and architecture, shot wherever the light is worth the drive.

Behind the camera
I photograph people as they are, not as a pose tells them to be.
Every shoot starts with a conversation. After that we take our time, follow the light and let the frame arrive instead of forcing it. What you get back is quiet, honest and unmistakably yours.
More about the workThe idea
A good photograph is mostly waiting. For the light to soften, for the shoulders to drop, for the moment nobody planned.

How it works
No rushing and no shot list read off a phone. We talk first, then we keep shooting until the picture is really there.
